Drug abuse prevention through awareness raising
It has been unanimously agreed in the international society, including the UN and the G7 summits, the drug abuse problem needs to be tackled on a global basis by all the countries in the world. In Japan, the government adopted the Fourth Five-Year Abuse Prevention Strategy in 2013. The strategy sets five objectives, including the objective 1 “To prevent people from abusing drugs by enhancing efforts to raise awareness among young people, families and communities and by boosting normative consciousness”.
