To ensure accurate and speedy analysis of seized substances and specimens from the objective, Narcotics Control Department has the Forensic Science Division, independent of the investigation divisions. At the Forensic Science Division, forensic chemists test drugs or specimens with state-of-the-art precision instruments. They also conduct more advanced analysis, including hair analysis to learn an abuser’s drug abuse history and DNA profiling to identify drug users and other issues, which will contribute to objective proof of crime.
