Drug Crime Investigation

For illegal drugs, export, import, manufacture, formulation of pharmaceutical preparations, cultivation, possession, transfer, reception, use of them are controlled based on ①Narcotics and Psychotropics Control Act, ②Stimulants Control Act, ③Act on Regulation of Cultivation of Cannabis Plants, ④Opium Act, ⑤Act Concerning Special Provisions for the Narcotics and Psychotropics Control Act, etc. and Other Matters for the Prevention of Activities Encouraging Illicit Conducts and Other Activities Involving Controlled Substances through International Cooperation (The Act on Special Provisions for Narcotics), ⑥The Law on Securing Quality, Efficacy and Safety of Products Including Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices, and penalties are imposed when the laws are violated.

Narcotics Agents perform investigation and information-gathering activity against drug crimes that is the violation of those prohibitions in the capacity as judicial police officers under the Criminal Procedure Law.
